PROGRAM STATEMENT
The Higher Education Program is committed to excellence in:
Therefore, graduate students and their educational development are a major priority of this program. A combination of
academic rigor and experiential opportunities are the hallmarks of the program.
PROGRAM MISSION
The mission of the program is to prepare students for leadership roles in student affairs. This is accomplished by engaging students in classroom learning and practicum experiences. Expected outcomes of the program include knowledge of organizational structure, the ability to apply student development theory, and an appreciation for the historical roots of the student affairs profession.
