PROGRAM STATEMENT
The Counseling and Student Affairs program is a two-year program leading to a Master of Science in Education. There are two CACREP accredited Student Affairs options: Professional Practice and College Counseling. The program emphasizes the integration of developmental theory, acquisition of strong interpersonal skills, and personal development resulting in the ability to enter beneficially into the other person’s world and provide opportunities for them to grow. The program has a generalist orientation, but individualized specializations can be developed to meet each student’s needs.

PROGRAM MISSION
The mission of the Counseling and Student Affairs Program is to prepare highly skilled student affairs specialists and counselors knowledgeable in human development and counseling theory.
