PROGRAM MISSION
The Master of Education degree programs in student affairs in higher education are designed to prepare students for professional careers in institutions of higher education. The objectives are: 1) to prepare students to learn more about themselves and about the environment of higher education; 2) to prepare students to improve the learning conditions and lifestyles of undergraduates; and 3) to encourgae students to gain an understanding of the significant role filled by student affairs professionals in the structure of higher education and in the growth and development of undergraduates.

    Two separate program options - administration oriented, college counseling oriented
  • The student affairs/college counseling program has been designed to meet the requirements for counseling licensure
  • Combines experiences that are practical, specialized and individual with those that are broad and theoretical
  • Coordinates classwork and field experience.
  • Offers class projects and mini-surveys drawn from student affairs settings
  • Maintains small size for maximum faculty, student and peer interaction
